When sustainable energy provider Verdo set out to expand their business and sell electric vehicle chargers online, they quickly realised that they needed more than a webshop. They needed a seamless connection between the webshop, finance system and other critical systems. In short, they needed a modern, scalable integration platform.

Smooth-flowing data
Following a thorough evaluation of different technologies and partners, Verdo decided to work with twoday on this new project. Verdo knew that twoday had the competences and experience required as twoday had supplied their data platform. Verdo also decided to use Microsoft Azure Integration Services as the foundation for the new integration platform. This could create a central hub to connect the different systems—enabling a real-time, system-to-system data flow.
A process designed to deliver – on time and on budget
Using twoday’s proven delivery method and project management tools, the experts from twoday started work with an agile, sprint-based process that could deliver fast time to market. The twoday team worked closely with Verdo to customize the integration platform so it could meet Verdo’s needs. This close collaboration with sprint-based delivery and ongoing feedback enabled the project to be completed in just six months – on time, and just as importantly – on budget.
“With our new iPaaS solution in Microsoft Azure, we now have a central platform where we can develop and reuse integrations far more efficiently. It makes it easier to replace systems and adapt our integrations as business needs evolve.”

Escaping legacy limitations
Today the data bottlenecks caused by the legacy point-to-point integrations have been replaced by a high-performing integration platform. This improves data flexibility and security creating new opportunities as different systems can connect with each other. It also avoids the need for double entry of data and synchronises product information between all systems – saving both time and money. Furthermore, by having better access and control of their data, Verdo can now gain valuable business insights they can use to accelerate growth.
