The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration signs major agreement with twoday

Oct 9, 2023 3:58:52 PM twoday Press Releases

For the next eight years, twoday's technologists will assist the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) in creating a digital foundation for the future.

– We’re passionate about solving important societal tasks with our tech expertise. That’s why we’re proud to be able to help further develop such a fundamentally important service for Norway in the years to come, says Nicolai Svendsen, Sales Director of twoday Norway.

The comprehensive agreement has an expected total value of more than 180 million euros over the next eight years, distributed between two vendors. The goal is to create solid user services, efficient case management and a digital foundation that takes care of future IT needs.

– At twoday, we're long-term digitization partners for our customers. This agreement is no exception. In addition to developing the established system solutions at UDI, we’re going to be innovative problem solvers in the modernization process, says Svendsen.

UDI: – Very happy with the decision
twoday will deliver on the scope of the agreement together with the consultancy company Bouvet as a subcontractor. The two companies have delivered several similar agreements together with great success in the past.

UDI is very satisfied with the choice of new digitization partners.

– Through several years of collaboration with the company, we are well aware of the value their technologists deliver. In the competition for the new contracts, it has been important for UDI to find partners with the ability to build and constantly improve the immigration administration's competence, capacity and culture for digitization, says Dag Anders Brunstad, Director of Digitization at UDI.

Important agreement in the coming years
– This is an important agreement for twoday. Just as important as the size of the contract is the technological expertise required and UDI's position in society. Our technologists get the opportunity to work with a customer who has an enormously important mandate in the society we live in, says Nicolai Svendsen.

He also highlights the importance of the agreement for further growth in twoday.

– The agreement confirms our competence and experience within the public sector. At the same time, it provides predictability and room for us to continue growing in the years to come. And it is extra rewarding to win this contract after having worked closely with UDI for several years. It is a testament that we deliver value every single day.
