Christiania Belysning has taken a significant step into the future with the AI Agent Chris. Leveraging all their structured product information, they have created the ultimate in-store assistant for their online store. Chris assists customers in navigating the website and finding the products they desire, while also making information available at an entirely new level.


Christiania Belysning (referred to as CB) has been on a transformational journey since 2018, working continuously toward their vision of becoming lighting specialists. To provide the best advice to their customers, CB has invested significant effort in structuring all information related to their products and services. They've also focused on training their staff in the stores. However, with a vast array of products, it becomes a lot of information for customers to navigate on their own. CB wanted to innovate and find a new approach.

AI and Chat GPT had already taken the world by storm which gave CB something to think about: "What is truly possible?" With numerous ideas and a high level of creativity, CB settled on the twoday AI Agent. 

The twoday AI Agent is a groundbreaking AI application that leverages GPT's language model to streamline and automate an enterprise's information processing. With the twoday AI Agent, CB could harness all their structured product information to create the ultimate shop assistant for their online store.

The twoday AI Agent also has a ready-to-use operating environment, allowing immediate deployment of the service. This was crucial for CB as they aimed to start as quickly as possible without incurring high startup costs. Consequently, this led to the creation of Chris, an AI bot built on the twoday AI Agent.

With Chris in place on the website, customers can easily get answers to what they may be wondering instead of having to find it themselves. CB could easily feed in all the product information and service content they had written into AI-Chris, both directly from existing websites and also from PDF documents, Excel, and other types of sources. Structuring the information wasn't something they had to start from scratch. "Our website is structured in a certain way, but we had to change indirect language and make the information more fact-oriented. The content hasn't changed, but we've adjusted the form," says Elisabeth Bakken.

The response has been beyond all expectations. CB had a goal of reaching 400 queries by the end of August. Just a few days after the launch, several thousand had already interacted with AI-Chris. To make the bot work and provide accurate answers, it had to be fed information about lighting in general and specifically about the products of Christiania Belysning. Together with twoday, we've fine-tuned and set up guidelines. Chris favors our own data and searches through our information first.

Chris is not only beneficial for customers but also for the staff. Chris is still in training, and during the testing phase, we closely monitor to verify the responses. The bot offers significantly more assistance than not having it, both for customers and for our in-store employees, says Bakken.

The project has also gained a lot of attention from the industry, and more and more are now realizing the potential AI can offer.
