Plantorama CFO, Torben Castenskiold talks about the digital strategy:

– We use LS Central in our cafes and restaurants, so we essentially have the same solution all the way through our stores. It means a lot to us that we have an integrated system where everything is gathered in the same suite. This means that there is an incredibly short distance from running things through the cash register to the warehouse matching, to people buying a cup of coffee, and so on.

 

Previously, we were more behind the scenes because that's where we had our computer, and that's where we could work. Now we have brought IT solutions into the store, and this way, we are also more visible to our customers.

Brian Ahler elaborates on the cash register line

– It is important for us to have a stable and fast solution for our cash register line. Today, our cash register line runs on a Toshiba solution, where we do not have the speed problems we had before.

– When I joined the company, we could run about DKK 100,000.00 plus VAT through each cash register, and now we are putting somewhere between DKK 140-150,000.00. It's a significant difference that can be felt all around.
