As a cloud expert, Andreas ensures solid foundations in the cloud

What does it take to make the cloud secure, scalable, and built to last?

At twoday, that’s the kind of question our cloud specialists work on every day. Combining deep technical expertise with real-world impact.

When a fast-growing company struggled with an unstable and insecure cloud architecture, they turned to twoday for help. The business had scaled quickly, but their Azure setup couldn’t keep up: Resulting in outages and even a serious cyberattack.

Andreas Sobczyk, Principal Consultant at twoday, led the work to redesign the company’s cloud foundation. The team created a more secure and scalable platform built in Azure. One that could finally support growth instead of holding it back.

“The result was zero downtime, fewer security incidents, and increased revenue,” Andreas explains.
“It shows how the right cloud strategy isn’t just about IT - it’s about the business’s ability to grow and develop securely.”

The example highlights a common challenge for fast-growing companies: Their IT infrastructure struggles to keep up, which can compromise security if a scalable foundation isn’t in place.

Helping companies build the right foundation

At twoday, Andreas helps companies design secure, scalable, and stable environments in Microsoft Azure, no matter where they are in their cloud journey. Some are just beginning, while others are already deep into implementation before considering the architecture behind it.

“You could say we build the house from the ground up: First the foundation, then the walls and roof,” Andreas says. “But many start with the interior without securing the foundation first. That naturally creates challenges - but luckily, they can be fixed.”

He works closely with clients across the Nordics to ensure their cloud solutions support not just IT operations, but also business development and long-term goals.

These challenges aren’t just technical - they’re often organizational too. Teams may adopt new tools without a clear security strategy or governance model in place. That’s why Andreas’ role often includes not just design and delivery, but also education and structure.

The future of cloud: Hybrid, AI, and security

From Andreas’ perspective, the future of cloud is being shaped by three trends: a growing demand for AI solutions, an increased need for hybrid setups, and a long-overdue focus on security.

“AI requires vast amounts of data and computing power, which drives more companies toward the cloud,” he says. “But many still need to retain parts of their infrastructure on-premises for security or business-critical reasons. That’s why hybrid cloud will become a key part of strategy.”

At the same time, many organizations still treat security reactively, only focusing on it after an incident occurs. This is where Andreas and the twoday team step in: Helping not only with technical solutions, but also with governance and risk awareness.

“We don’t just build the technical foundation - we help document and explain how it creates business value.”

In practice, this means guiding clients to think more proactively. Aligning cloud architecture with regulatory requirements, integrating monitoring and controls from day one, and ensuring that systems are built to scale securely, not just quickly.

Collaboration, growth, and recognition

Andreas has worked in cloud technology and security for over eight years and is today one of Denmark’s most experienced Azure Cloud specialists. He’s also a four-time recipient of Microsoft’s prestigious MVP (Most Valuable Professional) title — awarded to experts who not only master the technology but also share knowledge with others.

“The MVP title opens doors to international conferences and knowledge communities,” he explains. “It pushes me to stay sharp and updated and it gives me the opportunity to inspire others.”

That sense of continuous learning is something Andreas also finds in his work at twoday.

“We’re a team of specialists who respect each other’s knowledge and who constantly challenge and support one another. It not only makes the work more enjoyable, but also far more valuable for our clients.”

This focus on peer learning and cross-team collaboration is key to the work culture at twoday where technical excellence goes hand-in-hand with openness and knowledge sharing. It’s a space where engineers, architects, and consultants work together to grow, both personally and professionally.

A career built on curiosity

Andreas’ journey into cloud started early. He trained as a data technician and held apprenticeships at the Technical University of Denmark and the University of Copenhagen. Later, he worked at DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation), focusing on infrastructure and data centers. It was there he got his first experience with cloud projects working alongside external consultants, who later became his colleagues at twoday.

“I quickly realized that cloud was the future, and I felt compelled to understand the technology behind it,” Andreas says. “It was a natural next step to dive into Azure and specialize in security, where I could combine my technical interests with strategic advisory work.”

His background in infrastructure gave him a hands-on understanding of how systems really work and what can go wrong when foundations aren’t strong. That practical experience continues to shape his approach today, especially in environments where long-term security and scalability matter most.

At twoday, cloud isn’t just a service. It’s a foundation for secure, scalable, and meaningful solutions.

And for people like Andreas, it’s also a space to keep growing through real projects, shared expertise, and a team that supports both ambition and curiosity.
