The challenge
For years, Schou ran its planning processes on an existing larger planning environment delivered by a previous vendor. The solution had supported the business through a long period of growth, but as Schou’s organisation and surrounding systems evolved, the model became increasingly difficult to adapt. Structures no longer fully matched current processes, and further development required more external assistance than desired.
As the company moved toward higher automation, increased data transparency, and closer integration with NetSuite, it became clear that a more modern and flexible platform would better support future needs. The FP&A team, led by manager and super user Kristian Vestergaard Elbæk, therefore began looking for a tool that was easier to maintain, scalable, and could be developed internally.
The solution
After a joint workshop, Twoday assessed the landscape and outlined two paths: restore the existing planning setup or migrate to Jedox. Based on functionality, long-term value, flexibility, and cost, Schou chose a Jedox migration as the most future-proof, growth-oriented option.
Twoday migrated Schou’s the existing planning setup to Jedox end-to-end. Along the way, we cleaned up legacy models and logic from the previous implementation and reshaped the solution to match Schou’s current needs. Working closely with Kristian Vestergaard Elbæk, twoday established a modern, user-friendly Jedox platform that Schou can now evolve independently.
With actuals imported directly from ERP-system, Jedox serves as the consolidated financial data layer combining actuals, budget, and forecast in one place - feeding Schou's data warehouse and ultimately Power BI reporting.
The new setup covers staff cost forecasting built on a dynamic model integrating HR system data with business logic, ensuring forecasts stay current without manual intervention and sales forecasting, with a clear path to further development across Schou's full Performance Management cycle.

“Very pragmatic when it comes to delivering quick solutions. Competent employees. Easily accessible.”

The results
The migration to Jedox has given Schou's FP&A team direct ownership of their planning environment, and has significantly reduced licensing cost. Where the previous setup required external assistance for most changes, the team can now configure, maintain, and develop the solution independently - working with twoday on strategic development rather than day-to-day fixes.
Outcomes from the implementation:
- Annual license savings of DKK 100,000 with Jedox compared to previous planning environment
- A simpler solution that is easier to maintain
- Greater ability to handle day-to-day operations in-house
- Dynamic staff cost forecasting driven by HR system data - eliminating manual maintenance
- A clear path to further development across the full Performance Management cycle
“It’s been a good process - much smoother than what we’ve struggled with before. Great work on both sides of the table! No doubt we’ll be very happy with Jedox in the long run.”
